Nigeria, Oct. 5 -- The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) will hold a national stakeholders' meeting in Abuja on Tuesday, October 6, as preparations for the 2027 general elections approach the 100-day mark.

Adedayo Oketola, chief press secretary to Joash Amupitan, INEC chairman, announced the meeting in a statement issued on Sunday.

Oketola said the meeting would provide updates on the commission's preparations for the elections, including the voters' register, candidate nominations, logistics and measures aimed at safeguarding the integrity of the electoral process.

According to him, Amupitan will address the meeting alongside other key stakeholders involved in the electoral process.
