Nigeria, Oct. 3 -- Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has declared Monday, October 5, 2026, a work-free day for teachers across the state to mark this year's World Teachers' Day.

The declaration was contained in a statement issued on Friday by the Deputy Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Mashood Agboola.

AbdulRazaq congratulated teachers across the state and commended them for their contributions to human capital development and their resilience in the discharge of their duties.

"His Excellency extends his best wishes to teachers across the length and breadth of the state whose contributions to human capital development is acknowledged at all times," Agboola said.
