Nigeria, June 26 -- Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Police Command, CP Tijani Fatai, has dismissed fears that the explosion which occurred in Mushin on June 22, 2026, was caused by an Improvised Explosive Device (IED), terrorism or any other criminal activity.

Rather, he disclosed that investigations had confirmed it resulted from a mechanical failure.
