Nigeria, Sept. 14 -- Olalekan Oyeyemi, an ally of Ademola Adeleke, governor of Osun State, has been shot dead in the Ile-Ife area of the state.

Oyeyemi, popularly known as Emir Ajagungbade, was reportedly killed on Sunday during a clash between rival factions over control of motor parks in Ile-Ife.

Abiodun Ojelabi, spokesperson for the Osun State Police Command, said operatives were deployed to the area after the command received a report of shooting around the Energy filling station in Ile-Ife.
