Nigeria, Aug. 23 -- The Kwara State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board has announced an initial payment of N5 million for intending pilgrims as preparations begin for the 2027 Hajj.

The Executive Secretary of the Board, Alhaji Abdulsalam Abdulkadir, disclosed this while speaking on a radio programme, saying intending pilgrims were expected to pay the balance of the Hajj fare on or before the end of November 2026.

Abdulkadir urged intending pilgrims to make payments only through the designated banks using approved bank drafts and ensure that all required documents were submitted on time.
