Zero tolerance for interference in journalists' professional duties: Swapon
Dhaka, June 1 -- Information and Broadcasting Minister Zahir Uddin Swapon today (Monday) said the government will pursue a 'zero tolerance' policy against any form of unethical obstruction or interference in the professional activities of mainstream media personnel, stressing that ensuring a fully independent and transparent media environment remains one of its key objectives.
The minister made the remarks while replying to a query from reporters at his office in the Secretariat, BSS reports.
