Bangladesh, Sept. 29 -- The chief of the securities regulator has asked all brokerage houses to deploy a unified back-office software system to prevent embezzlement of investors' money and the recurrence of financial irregularities in the capital market.

Advertisement The system should provide regulators with real-time data on funds held in brokers' bank accounts and Consolidated Customer Accounts (CCAs), allowing daily reconciliation and early detection of any shortfall or irregularity, said Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) Chairman Masud Khan.
