Bangladesh, Nov. 1 -- Two more children died with measles-like symptoms in the past 24 hours, ending at 8:00 am on Sunday.

Besides, 1,417 suspected and confirmed measles cases were reported during the same period, a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) said this afternoon.

With the latest fatality, the total number of deaths from the suspected measles reached 1,149 since March 15, 2026, the release said.

No one died from confirmed measles in the last 24 hours, it said, adding that a total of 105 children have died from confirmed measles since March 15, reports BSS.

The total number of fatalities from confirmed measles and measles-like symptoms has reached 1,254 so far, since March 15.
