Dhaka, June 8 -- Former International Crimes Tribunal prosecutor Tureen Afroz has been shown arrested in a case filed by her brother over alleged property grabbing.

On Monday, a Dhaka court sent her to jail after granting a plea to show her arrest in a hearing held at the court of Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Md Zakir Hossain, bdnews24.com reports.

The plaintiff's lawyer Kafil Mahmud Raihan said an application had been filed to show Tureen arrested and she was produced before the court during the hearing.

After hearing both sides, the court granted the application, he added.
