Bangladesh, Sept. 18 -- The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) has suspended trading operations of Aviva Equity Management as the brokerage firm failed to renew its stockbroker and stock-dealer registration certificates.

The suspension came into effect on Wednesday, a day after the registration certificates expired. The Central Depository Bangladesh Limited (CDBL) also suspended Aviva Equity's Depository Participant (DP) activities on the same day, further restricting services relating to investors' beneficiary owner (BO) accounts.

The DSE did not publicly disclose the trading suspension until Thursday, leaving investors without immediate information about the status of their accounts and transactions.
