Dhaka, April 27 -- A mother and her two daughters have been killed after a Nor'wester storm toppled three trees onto their house in Jamalpur's Melandah.

The incident occurred around 4:00 am on Monday in the Upazila's Purbadagi area, according to Obaidur Rahman, chief of Melandah Police Station.

The dead have been identified as Khuki Begum, a local resident, and her two daughters, Fatema Akhter, 45, and Farida Akhter, 37, reports bdnews24.com.

Khuki's son, Akal Mondul, said that, like every day, his mother and sisters had gone to bed. Around 4:00 am, the storm toppled three trees onto the house, crushing them.
