Tenders floated for 3 more spot LNG cargoes
Dhaka, June 3 -- Bangladesh will buy three more liquefied natural gas (LNG) cargoes from the spot market by early July amid the persistent Middle East crisis and Strait of Hormuz disruptions.
State-run Rupantarita Prakritik Gas Company Ltd (RPGCL) has floated tenders to purchase the cargoes for delivery over the June 26-27, June 30-July 1, and July 6-7 windows.
The volume of the cargoes is approximately 3.36 million MMBtu each, according to officials.
The cargoes would be delivered to the Moheshkhali Island, with an option to discharge to either of the country's two floating storage re-gasification units (FSRUs) located there, said a senior RPGCL official.
