Dhaka, May 20 -- Customs Intelligence and Investigation Directorate (CIID) officials have arrested a Tanzanian man at Shahjalal International Airport after discovering scores of cocaine capsules hidden inside his stomach.

The market value of the seized narcotics is estimated to be around Tk 150 million, an official said on Wednesday afternoon, bdnews24.com reports.

The suspect, identified as Abul Nasser Bakari Zoha, arrived in Dhaka at around 9:30am on Wednesday aboard an Ethiopian Airlines flight from Ethiopia.

Acting on a tip-off, customs intelligence officials intercepted the passenger shortly after he landed.

He was then taken for a medical scan, which revealed foreign objects inside his digestive system.
