Bangladesh, Oct. 7 -- Thousands of customers of 31 banks are in deep trouble as Q-Cash, the shared card-processing network, began a sudden system migration, suspending cards, ATMs, point-of-sale (POS) terminals, and several other digital services.

The disruption began on Sunday and will continue until October 10, causing sudden inconveniences for account-holders who were given no advance warning.

Q-Cash later issued a notice, saying the migration would run from 9:00pm on October 4 until 12:00pm on October 10.

During this period, various digital services of its member banks will face temporary disruptions.
