Dhaka, May 21 -- LGRD and Cooperatives Minister Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir underscored the need for waging a strong social movement alongside the application of law to prevent social menace rape.

In a Facebook post from his verified page, he strongly condemned the recent several rape incidents, describing it as a sign of moral degradation, BSS reports.

"The incidents of rape, child abuse, and murder are not isolated events; rather, they are a horrifying reflection of years of moral decay, social irresponsibility, and the rapid decline of human values," he said, adding, "We are committed to making every possible effort against this inhumane crime".
