Stocks retreat as energy crisis weighs on sentiment
Bangladesh, Sept. 8 -- Dhaka stocks retreated on Tuesday, giving up early gains as risk-averse investors went on a late-session selling spree amid persistent concerns over the country's energy crisis.

Market operators said prolonged gas and electricity shortages were disrupting industrial operations, with factory shutdowns, production interruptions and increased reliance on costly alternative energy sources raising concerns over production and corporate earnings.
