Bangladesh, Oct. 19 -- State Minister for Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives Mir Shahe Alam today (Monday) said measures will be taken to implement a proposal for constructing modern flats or apartments to resolve the accommodation crisis faced by cleaners.

He also assured that necessary initiatives would be taken to provide employment opportunities for educated and unemployed youth from the cleaners' families, BSS reports.

The state minister made the remarks while speaking as the chief guest at an event held this afternoon to distribute financial assistance to Telugu and Kanpuri-speaking cleaners' families under the Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) on the occasion Durga Puja. Buy Maps
