Bangladesh, Oct. 26 -- The 55th meeting of the Shari'ah Supervisory Committee of Standard Islami Bank PLC was held on Monday at the bank's head office in Dhaka.

Mufti Muhammad Muhibbullahil Baqee Al-Nadwi, Chairman of the committee, presided over the meeting, according to a press release.

Committee members Prof. Dr. Hafiz Muztaba Riza Ahmed, Mufti Dr. Mohammad Imam Hossain, Prof. Dr. A.S.M. Toriqul Islam and Prof. Dr. Muhammad Tazammol Hoque were present. Mr. Riad Mahmud Chowdhury, Managing Director of the bank, also attended.

Additional Managing Director Md. Siddiqur Rahman, Deputy Managing Director Md. Jabedul Alam and senior officials of the Shari'ah Secretariat Division were also present.
