Dhaka, May 14 -- The government has decided to hold the SSC examinations in January and the HSC examinations in June from 2027 in a move aimed at reducing session jams and aligning the academic calendar with university admission schedules.

Under the revised schedule, the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examinations in 2027 will begin on January 7 and conclude on February 6, ahead of Ramadan, Education Minister ANM Ehsanul Hoque Milon said on Thursday.

The decision was announced at a press conference at the Ministry of Education at the Secretariat on Thursday afternoon.

The minister said the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examinations would begin on June 6 and continue until July 13, 2027.
