Bangladesh, Aug. 12 -- A special job-generation scheme styled 'Udyog' with an initial gestation fund worth Tk 5.0 billion comes up soon for July-uprising fighters and teeming unemployed youths.

Advertisement Under a decision made Tuesday in a meeting between Bangladesh Bank and bankers, collateral-free low-cost loans will be disbursed for funding startups to be taken up by the beneficiaries, particularly in rural areas.

Initially, the central bank plans to start the special loan package with an initial fund worth Tk 5.0 billion but the loan package could grow to Tk 10 billion after funds and grants from different sources are added.
