Dhaka, June 8 -- Shimanto Bank PLC has recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Finance Division of the Ministry of Finance, Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh, at the conference room of the Finance Division in the Secretariat.

Under this MoU, all permanent government officials and employees can avail home loans under a special scheme through Shimanto Bank PLC.

In this regard, a portion of the loan interest will be subsidized by the government, while the remaining portion will be borne by the borrower.

The MoU signing ceremony was presided over by Mr. Mohammad Abul Hashem, Additional Secretary, Planning, Development and Reform wing, Finance Division, Ministry of Finance.
