Dhaka, July 6 -- Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman has invited Bangladesh Prime Minister Tarique Rahman to pay an official visit to Saudi Arabia, marking another step toward strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries.

The invitation was conveyed on Monday when Saudi Ambassador to Bangladesh Abdullah Jafar H. Bin Abiyah paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Tarique Rahman at the Secretariat and handed over the invitation letter from the Crown Prince.

The development was announced later at an emergency press briefing at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs by the Prime Minister's Foreign Affairs Adviser, Humayun Kabir.
