Bangladesh, Sept. 17 -- Mohammed Ahsan Habib Chowdhury, FCA, a member of the Board of Directors of state-owned Shariah-based Sammilito Islami Bank PLC, has been appointed Chairman of EXIM Islami Investment Limited (EIIL), a subsidiary of the bank.

Advertisement Besides, Abedur Rahman Sikder, Managing Director of Sammilito Islami Bank, has been appointed as a Director of EIIL, according to a media release.

The decisions were taken at the 78th meeting of the Board of Directors of EIIL, held on September 13, 2026, at the head office of Sammilito Islami Bank PLC in Dhaka.

Mohammed Ahsan Habib Chowdhury, FCA, presided over the meeting as the newly appointed Chairman of the Board of Directors of EIIL.
