Bangladesh, Nov. 4 -- Ready-made garment (RMG) workers will receive revised wages from January 2027, as the new wage structure is set to be finalised by December 2026.

Representatives of factory owners and workers agreed on the timeline at a meeting of the newly constituted minimum wage board on Wednesday, urging workers to return to work.

The wage revision process will be completed by December, they said.

The six-member minimum wage board for the RMG industry held its meeting at 11:00 am on Wednesday to review workers' wages amid ongoing protests demanding a monthly minimum wage of Tk 30,000.
