Restaurant owners demand one-stop services, end to arbitrary fines
Bangladesh, Oct. 3 -- The Bangladesh Restaurant Owners Association has demanded immediate implementation of one-stop services for restaurant businesses and an end to harassment and arbitrary financial penalties by government agencies.
The association also called for withdrawal of the 10 per cent advance income tax and 2 per cent source tax on utilities, along with urgent measures to address the LPG and energy crisis.
The demands were raised at a press conference held at a city hotel on Saturday. Association Secretary General Ibrahim Hasan hosted the event, attended by restaurant owners, association representatives and media professionals.
