Dhaka, April 14 -- Minister for Chittagong Hill Tracts Affairs Dipen Dewan has said religious values are indispensable for establishing peace, harmony, and human welfare in society.

"Religious institutions are not only places of worship but also serve as important centers of moral education and social unity," he said.

The minister made the remarks while attending the 'Grand Merit Offering Ceremony 2026' as the chief guest at the historic Rajbana Vihar, Rangamati, marking the celebration of the Bengali New Year 1433, BSS reports.
