Prompt, tech-driven probe stressed to curb market manipulation
Bangladesh, Oct. 7 -- Discussants stressed the need for instant investigation and technology-based monitoring to curb attempts to influence market movements, which cause losses to general investors.
They spoke at a seminar on Tuesday, jointly organised by the Bangladesh Association of Publicly Listed Companies (BAPLC) and the Bangladesh Merchant Bankers Association (BMBA).
As the chief guest of the seminar, held at the auditorium of the Dhaka bourse, Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) Chairman Masud Khan said it used to take a long time to inquire into abnormal transactions after receiving approval from the regulatory body.
