Bangladesh, Sept. 26 -- Leaders and activists of the Awami League, whose activities have been banned, staged a brief procession in Dhaka's Dhanmondi, with police reporting four crude bomb explosions.

Advertisement The procession took place around 12:15pm on Saturday in the Dhanmondi Road No. 27 area, according to Dhanmondi Police Station chief Muhammad Imdadul Islam, reports bdnews24.com.

"A group of people gathered to hold a procession and police dispersed them," he said.

"Three people were detained from the scene."

A video of the incident shows a group marching along the road chanting "Joy Bangla".

Witnesses said the procession began near Ibn Sina Hospital and continued towards the Bata outlet on Road 27, where police gave chase....
