Dhaka, March 4 -- Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has reassigned the responsibilities of two advisors with the rank of minister and eight state ministers within two weeks of forming his cabinet.

The Cabinet Division issued a gazette notification on Wednesday announcing the reshuffle, bdnews24.com reports.

According to the notification, the portfolios were reallocated in line with the Rules of Business, 1996, due to "administrative necessity".

Under the new arrangement, Nazrul Islam Khan, the prime minister's political advisor, has also been given the role of advisor to the Ministry of Agriculture.
