Dhaka, April 4 -- Prime Minister Tarique Rahman expressed deep shock and sorrow over the casualties in a fire that broke out at a tin-shed factory producing gas lighters in Keraniganj today (Saturday).

"Prime Minister Tarique Rahman mourned the deaths in Keraniganj gas lighters factory fire and asked the authorities concerned to investigate into the incident and provide necessary assistance to the victims," the premier's Press Secretary Saleh Shibly said this afternoon, BSS reports.

He said the Prime Minister talked to Health and Family Welfare Minister Sardar Md Sakhawat Husain about the incident and directed him to ensure proper treatment for the injured people.
