Bangladesh, Sept. 20 -- A parked bus has been set on fire in Dhaka's Pallabi area, adding to a series of bus fires and crude bomb explosions reported in Dhaka since Friday.

Advertisement The Paristan Paribahan bus caught fire around 7:30 am on Sunday while it was parked beside Government College on Ceramic Road, police said.

Dhaka Metropolitan Police Mirpur Division Deputy Commissioner Md Mostak Sarker said that the bus caught fire in the rain.

"We are investigating who was responsible for the incident," he said.

Bus owner Khan Md Mahitul Islam said a former driver called him around 7:30 am to inform him that the bus was on fire.

He later went to the scene and found the bus engulfed in flames.
