Bangladesh, Sept. 29 -- Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) operators reassured the government on Monday that currently there is no shortage of LPG in the country.

Advertisement Their assurance came during a meeting with Minister for the Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Iqbal Hasan Mahmood in the Secretariat.

During the meeting the LPG operators made a presentation showing that the country's LPG imports and reserves remain sufficient to meet consumer demand.

According to figures from the National Board of Revenue (NBR), Bangladesh imported 157,760 tonnes of LPG in August 2026 and 118,742 tonnes until 22nd September 2026.

The import volume of LPG indicates a healthy supply and stock situation in the country, the meeting observed.
