Dhaka, March 5 -- Former Law Adviser Dr Asif Nazrul on Wednesday night strongly denied corruption allegations circulating on social media, asserting that he did not take "not a single taka" corruptly during his tenure in the interim government.
In a statement posted on his verified Facebook page, Nazrul said that following the departure of the interim administration, "so-called" reports of corruption involving him and some of his colleagues began spreading online, reports bdnews24.com.
"I have never committed any corruption while in government, nor before or after that in my life. Not one taka - I repeat, not a single taka - have I taken corruptly," he wrote.
