Bangladesh, Oct. 15 -- The Customs Intelligence and Investigation Directorate of the National Board of Revenue (NBR) has detected alleged revenue evasion of over Tk 852 million through the misuse of bonded-warehouse facilities by UAGM BD Limited in Siddhirganj, Narayanganj.

An inspection of the factory found no effective production arrangements, while machinery installed for manufacturing was lying unused in heaps, according to a press release issued by the directorate on Wednesday.

A preventive team of the NBR conducted the raid on September 9, following a tip-off, at the company's premises in Mijimiji Dakshin Para, Siddhirganj.
