Bangladesh, Oct. 16 -- National Bank PLC resumed its full banking operations on Thursday after a long pause due to a massive scale of loan-related irregularities with refundment of deposits.Open Bank Account

On the first day of the cash deposit withdrawal, the country's one of the oldest commercial banks saw much lesser presence of depositors, which gives some sort of relief to the bank management.

Depositors had submitted requests to withdraw around Tk 1.88 billion across the country, but only about half the amount was withdrawn on the day, according to the bank sources.
