Bangladesh, Sept. 16 -- Mutual Trust Bank PLC has joined Bangladesh Bank's BDT 5,000 crore CMSME Sector Working Capital Refinance Fund, aimed at supporting operating CMSME enterprises facing working capital constraints and enabling them to operate at full capacity.

Advertisement The initiative is expected to support business continuity, employment generation and sustainable growth of the CMSME sector, according to a press release.

The signing ceremony was held on September 08, 2026, at Bangladesh Bank, where Md. Zabdul Islam, Director, SMESPD, Bangladesh Bank, and Chowdhury Akhtar Asif, Additional Managing Director & CBO, Mutual Trust Bank PLC, exchanged the agreement documents on behalf of their respective organisations.
