Bangladesh, Oct. 5 -- Midland Bank PLC (MDB) has transformed its Banani Branch into a full-fledged Islami Banking Branch, aiming to broaden access to Shariah-compliant banking services.

Imtiaz U. Ahmed, Managing Director of Midland Bank PLC, officially inaugurated the Banani Islami Banking Branch along with members of the Bank's Shariah Supervisory Committee: Dr. Mufti Muhammad Abu Sayeed Khan (Chairman), Dr. Abu Yousuf Md. Nesar Uddin (Member), and Dr. Muhammad Shahjahan Madani (Member), according to a press release.

The Banani Islami Banking Branch is located at Nilufar Heights, B-52 (1st Floor), Kamal Ataturk Avenue, Banani, Dhaka.
