Dhaka, April 8 -- A CNG-run auto-rickshaw driver was killed when a bus hit his vehicle in the Farmgate area of Dhaka on Wednesday.

The deceased was identified as Mamun Farazi, son of Shikdar Farazi of Siddhirganj in Narayanganj district, reports UNB.

The accident occurred around noon when a bus of 'Labbaik Paribahan' hit the CNG-run auto-rickshaw, leaving the driver injured, said Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (Tejgaon Zone) Akkas Ali.

He was taken to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital, where doctors declared him dead around 1:00 pm.

On information, police seized the bus but could not arrest its driver as he managed to flee the scene.
