Dhaka, April 26 -- A trolley helper was killed in a road accident in Galua Bazar on the Rajapur-Bhandaria highway in Rajapur upazila of Jhalakathi district on Sunday.

The deceased was identified as Tanvir Islam, 18, the son of the late Abdul Haque, a resident of the Dakshin Pipolita area in Jhalakathi Sadar upazila, reports BSS.

Police said the accident occurred around 1:00 am when a brick-laden trolley overturned into a roadside ditch as its driver lost control of the vehicle, leaving its helper, Tanvir, critically injured.

He was taken to Rajapur Upazila Health Complex, where the on-duty doctor declared him dead.

Officer-In-Charge of Nalchiti Police Station Sujan Biswas confirmed the matter.
