Dhaka, May 29 -- M. Munir-Uz-Zaman, Ex CSP 1958 batch, Former Secretary and Ambassador of the Government of Bangladesh, has passed away on Thursday, the 28th of May, 10th Jilhajj at 2:00 PM peacefully due to old age complications at his residence. Innalillahe Wa Innaelaihe Rajiun. He was 90.

With his sad demise the country has lost a patriotic and prolific top bureaucrat and diplomat and worthy son of the soil.

The country's bureaucracy will always remember his lifelong contributions. An old University of Dhaka, University of Cambridge, UK and Williams College, USA alumni, Zaman was known for his uncompromising contributions to uphold the National interest above all.
