Dhaka, April 28 -- A legal notice has been served to the authorities concerned, seeking the immediate filing of a First Information Report (FIR) over the alleged assault on several leaders of the Dhaka University Central Students' Union (DUCSU) and hall unions inside Shahbagh Police Station.

The notice was sent on Tuesday by DUCSU Social Welfare Secretary AB Zubayer through Supreme Court lawyer Advocate Mohammad Saddam Hossain. It was addressed to the Senior Secretary of the Public Security Division, the Inspector General of Police (IGP), the Commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP), the Deputy Commissioner of Ramna Division, and the Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Shahbagh Police Station.
