Dhaka, March 19 -- The body of a student was found hanging in his dormitory room at Jahangirnagar University (JU) on Wednesday afternoon, raising suspicions of suicide.

The deceased, identified as Konishka Majhi, was a student of the Department of Archaeology from the 2020-21 academic session. The incident took place at Sher-e-Bangla A.K. Fazlul Huq Hall.

According to hall sources, the incident occurred in room no. 413, where Majhi had been staying alone during the Eid vacation as his roommates were away.

According to initial reports, at around 02:00 pm, a student from a nearby room knocked on Majhi's door but received no response. After repeated attempts, he called another student. When there was still no answer, they broke the window...
