Institution heads to face legal action if cheating found in HSC exams: Education minister
Dhaka, June 24 -- Education Minister ANM Ehsanul Haque Milon on Wednesday said students found cheating in the upcoming HSC and equivalent examinations would face legal action, while institution heads or centre secretaries would also be held accountable if unfair practices are detected at examination centres.
Speaking at a meeting with centre secretaries of the Dhaka, Mymensingh, Madrasa and Technical Education boards at Azimpur Girls' School and College in the capital, the minister said, "Cheating no longer occurs in the traditional way, but its forms have changed. That is why the old examination law has been amended."
Milon said any student found carrying or using unfair means during the examinations would be detained and prosecuted.
