Dhaka, May 5 -- India reaffirms its commitment to strengthening "people-centric cooperation in all domains" with Bangladesh as its outgoing high commissioner Pranay Verma pays a farewell call on Foreign Minister Khalilur Rahman.

The meeting at the foreign ministry on Monday marked the end of Verma's tenure, during which both sides said bilateral ties had continued to expand across "multiple sectors".

Rahman congratulated the envoy on completing his assignment and acknowledged his role in advancing relations between the two neighbours.

Verma expressed gratitude for the cooperation extended by the Bangladeshi government during his posting and reiterated New Delhi's intention to deepen engagement with Dhaka.
