Dhaka, March 10 -- Import and export activities will continue at all customs houses, including Chittagong Port, to keep trade operations uninterrupted during the Eid holidays, despite the closure of all government offices.

The National Board of Revenue (NBR) has given directives to authorities to keep customs houses and excise stations open during the Eid holidays and weekends, aside from the Eid day.

In an order issued on Tuesday, customs commissioners have been asked to take necessary measures to keep import and export activities running on "a limited scale" on public and weekly holidays.

As a result, import and export processing will be allowed on days other than Eid day between Mar 17 and Mar 23, reports bdnews24.com.
