Dhaka, April 27 -- Human remains have been recovered in the US state of Florida, around 35 kilometres (22 miles) from the location where the remains of Bangladeshi PhD student Zamil Ahamed Limon were earlier found.

A joint operation by the Hillsborough and Pinellas County Sheriff's Offices retrieved the body parts from a water body near Interstate 275 and 4th Street North on Sunday.

Police said the remains have been sent to the Pinellas County Medical Examiner's Office for forensic examination. Authorities are currently working to determine the identity of the deceased. It remains unclear whether the recovered body parts belong to a male or a female.
