Health minister vows more doctors to prevent dengue spike
Dhaka, June 10 -- Health Minister Sardar Md Sakhawat Husain has urged doctors to stay vigilant as Bangladesh prepares for a possible rise in dengue cases.
He also pledged additional medical staffing if hospitals come under pressure, reports bdnews24.com.
At a discussion at the National Press Club on Wednesday, the minister said while the country is collectively fighting one outbreak, referring to measles, and making progress, another health hazard is emerging in the form of dengue.
"Dengue is coming. Everyone must stay aware and maintain cleanliness and protocol," he added.
