Bangladesh, Oct. 13 -- The government will review existing restrictions on tourist visits to Saint Martin's Island, including the tourism season, daily visitor limits and departure points for tourist vessels, Environment, Forest and Climate Change Minister Abdul Awal Mintoo said on Monday.

Any changes will be decided in consideration of the island's environment and biodiversity, tourist safety and transport management, he said.

The minister made the remarks while chairing an inter-ministerial meeting on tourism on the island at the Secretariat, according to a ministry statement.
