Bangladesh, Aug. 3 -- DBL Group, one of Bangladesh's leading apparel exporters, has decided to shut down all its garment manufacturing units due to a prolonged gas and electricity crisis, putting the jobs of around 25,000 workers at risk, according to top officials of the group.

Advertisement Group officials said all its RMG factories are located in the Gazipur area and together account for nearly $40 million in monthly exports.

Seeking anonymity, a top official of the group said the factories had been facing severe gas and electricity shortages for the past couple of months, making it impossible to continue operations.
