Bangladesh, Sept. 28 -- Formal charges have been filed against former state minister for industries Kamal Ahmed Majumder and 18 others in a case over alleged crimes against humanity committed during the July Mass Uprising in Dhaka's Mirpur in 2024.

Advertisement The charges were submitted to the registrar of the International Crimes Tribunal on Monday, prosecutor Gazi MH Tamim said.

Among the notable accused are former Dhaka-16 MP Mohammad Ilias Uddin Mollah and Jubo League General Secretary Mainul Hossain Khan Nikhil. The prosecution has not yet disclosed the names of the remaining accused.
